With the SF1000 i did not find a way to put it in normal mode actually. I have to stay with advanced mode.
I got myself an RJ12 cabel and everything works just fine. but this should not be the solution as i lose some bitrate on the pedals.
We're seriously considering being the first to try fixing our own connector so dad's T3PA Pro pedals can plug directly into his non-T series wheel. Right now it's directly connected via USB.
The connector has a plastic clip on the RJ11 plug that's to the left instead of centered, that's the only visible physical obstacle-- if TM was sneaky enough to switch up the pinout (no documentation available) we might ruin both wheel + pedals by trying.
Will use a multimeter to check if any of those 4 wires carry 5v/12v just in case, but it's insanity that out of 25+ games including ALL the F1 games since 2010 only '22 and '23 are "broken" for his setup.
I also dare whoever laughed at that to explain why
So the Ferrari F1 Wheel Add-On which is being referenced in that quote is the 2011 replica wheel not the SF1000. When I had that issue in 2022 one of the devs said the SF1000 works in advanced mode w/o issue. I'm using a T818 + SF1000 w/ TLCM pedals.
What I've had to do last year and sadly this year, is start the game and plug my pedals in after entering the main menu. There have been random instances where it will work w/ both plugged in but that also happened in F1 22... still surprised this is even still an issue tbh ._.
Codemasters never fixed this issue in F1 22, so I would be surprised if they fix it in this version.
I took the gamble and bought F1 23 this weekend. I use the T-LCM in combination with the Logitech Pro Racing Wheel so have to connect my pedals to my PC using USB. To my pleasant surprise this combination works with F1 23, while I had the same issues with the pedals directly connected by USB and in combination with my T500RS wheel last year in F1 22. I took the following steps after installing F1 23:
- Before starting F1 23 for the first time I made sure I had only the pedals connected to my PC.
- Downloaded the Package 2023_TTRS_3 drivers from here: https://ts.thrustmaster.com/download/pub/webupdate/T500RS/2023_TTRS_3.exe
- Run the installer. The installation program found a previous version and asked if I wanted to uninstall that version. I let it do that.
- After the unintall I rebooted my PC just to be sure.
- Run the installer again to install the new drivers.
- Let the install program reboot my PC again when it asked me to.
- Connected my wheel (well, turned it on using the on/off button).
- Checked if wheel and pedals worked under Windows.
- Started F1 23 and got the message that my NVIDIA drivers where out-of-date.
- Updated the NVIDIA drivers.
- Started F1 23 again and was able to assign all axis and buttons on wheel and pedals.
Mind you, it is very well possible that my setup would have worked without above steps anyway. I never checked but just wanted to be sure the driver was up-to-date before starting F1 23 for the first time. Just added this to let people know that this combination of T-LCM on USB with a Logitech Pro Racing Wheel seems to be working for me so far. Although I wouldn't be surprised if it stops working a next time when I start the game. If will let you know if that happens.
Having gone through those exact steps as well, and now a couple times over under different OSes and systems just to make sure-- it works more often than '22 but still fails to get detected regularly with a separate thrustmaster wheel and T3PA Pro pedals over here.
Since out of dozens of titles only those two exhibit the issue its clear to me where the problem is but glad to hear at least support for your combo has improved
Technically it seems like extra input threads are now assigned per device of which one locks up vs a single input thread up to F1 '21. If you ever happen to notice only your wheel or pedals work-- alt-enter into windowed mode, click away from the game and back. You'll see the other device suddenly kicking in while the one that worked stops responding.
This is why you don't pre-order or buy an EA game on release.
and i forgot about this too but i have latest drivers and i donnt have advanced and normal mode function in settings (using ts-pc and t-lcm)
It would be nice to bring the conversation to the forum as it seems they dont give a ♥♥♥♥ on this forum.
So maybe we can reach out to them on their side.
