Game Crashing Issue

Hi all,

I've had about enough of this game. I managed to get about 15 hours playtime without an issue however the last 2 weeks I've had constant bad luck. The game crashes, initially i thought it was just when finishing sessions/going to the next sessions but now it happens randomly after being in a race. Black screen, and i have to restart my computer each time because it freezes up.

These are the steps i've taken to try and remedy this:

Reinstall F1 23
Verify game cache (multiple times)
Updated to Windows 11
Uninstalled third party antivirus
Disabled windows defender
Disabled XMP (Read about memory speed)
Disabled all audio devices except for the one im using
Updated all drivers, including NVIDIA driver.
Run the game as administrator

EA, please fix the game i paid £60 for.

well, since last update from ea launcher today my game always crash. yesterday everything was fine, now in 20 minutes 3 crashes. ea at its best....
second issue i have is that half of the time i cant pass the startscreen, controlller has no reaction

are we all riming AMD? i am all AMD, having crashing issues but my buddy is invida and is running fine

giving the steps you took to troubleshoot your problem is not giving an hint to what's causing the issue. Understanding the issue is the key to solve it. Applying basic troubleshoot without knowing the issue is like tossing a coin...

It’s hard to point an issue when the game was running fine before hand. I feel there’s not much more I can do?

The only thing that’s changed is that crashes are now happening

I'm fed up too. This game crashes always and all that we get is other players saying that it is because of our system. But all every other games are working all fine.
EA could also provide a tool to check what is wrong in a PC that is not compatible for what is required in the game.
There are definitely a lot of players struggling to get this game working and that is not normal for a game. It was working all fine for me until the patch, so that is definitely an issue on EA's side.

Issue is not improved, still unable to play.

Bump. Same issue. Game worked a few days ago, driver ratings update came out, game doesn't work anymore. I really don't know what to do at this point. Nothing else changed and suddenly I can't play.
Hopefully someone knows some obscure file that needs to be deleted and re-installed to get it to work again

Can someone confirm I'm not crazy for expecting my pc to run this game on high/ultra (1080) with a 6650xt/ 5700x

i can't play it either because the game says my windows is too old even tho I have the latest windows update and when I try to run it the race is just a black screen with hud on it

Update:

Reset my PC completely, fresh install of Windows 11 and installed F1 23 onto my C drive (previously on another drive)

Thought the issue had resolved, multiple time trial laps were fie, jumped into a race and 7 laps in the game crashed.
