[Bug] Game Doesnt Start

Purchased and installed. First time setup completed but nothing ever launches.

No process, no game, no overlay, no screen. Just turns the "stop" button back to "play."

Anyone else have this issue?

Update: For me it was the MSVCR120.dll file that wasn't installed. Found the error by trying to run the .exe file directly from the Steam folder. Worked after installing the latest C++ Redistributable package.

I am also having this problem. Updated drivers, Verify files, My friend is able to play and i am not sure why he is. I am on windows 10 is that matters.

If it is an actual bug i hope it is fixed soon. I tried for couple hrs to fix it but i have no idea how to fix it.

you could try to launch at fullscreen, there´s a few things you can try in the launch options

Same issue here, unable to launch. Tried from the .exe in the game's folder and it just says "the code execution cannot proceed because MSVCR120.dll was not found. Reinstalling the game may fix this problem". I've done three clean installs on different hard drives with the same issue.

I could be wrong here, but I think that means you're missing one of the Visual C++ Redistributables. I'd probably start with the 2013 Redistributable since that seems to be incredibly common, but you can probably try the 2015/2017/2019/2022 one too:

This worked for me, make sure to scroll down and get the 2013 one if anyone else runs into this. Thank you so much!

I've tried all the Redistrutables and now i am getting "Failure Steam API Restart." Upon googling how to fix it i i followed all the steps i can find regarding bypassing firewall and even reinstalled steam. Man why is playing a gba game harder then new games haha.

Have the same problem and your post helped! It's playable now! The the latest C++ Redistributable package was missing, I'm using a new computer and this is literally one of the first games I downloaded lol
