I have a few friends that catch onto the storylines really well, none of them have played Santum 2 yet though, so I'm hoping there may be another person out there like them.
The best I could sum it up as is "You are hired to protect a new colony from wierd aliens attacking our powersource because they are evil, while in truth it's because your bosses are doing something terrible to the aliens and their prized possessions and thus angering them into attacking".
And from Sanctum 2 it seems like the cores themselves tend to also do something terrible or may in fact be the source of their anger, thus the big walker going to end this once and for all possibly.
Least thats what I've gathered though I'm no lore buff, just a guy who stumbled upon most easter eggs and read what I can.
