How far have you gotten in the last stand?
Currently playing through with friends, we want to know where you've gotten to. We're at level 26 atm.

From what i can remember 2-3 aa, 1-2 amp, a acp, a range, slows that were upgraded to the point of covering the map, focuses i think and the perks we purposefully used was (can't remember name) but could allow you to move through slow fields without being slowed and synergy which when a lume is shot they have a five second timer for 30% more damage from towers to occur :) hope this helps

yea i've gotten to 100 or so usually by waves 60-100 you get bored and just leave.

you need a couple AA's, slow mines of course, your guns (focus, acp, range and amp), and usually the rest mind controls nearby to keep all the foes grouped up in your kill zone. People need to be built for fighting soakers so great to have some with drone launchers, etc.

of course, all perks that boost towers or slow/affect foes in some way since your guns get pretty useless after wave 30 or so.

So you guys reckon Mind Control Towers are worth it? More than one? Do you ever overcharge?

Mind control towers are good for delaying foes, which keeps them in the kill zone longer. You never overcharge a mind control, and mind controls need a line of sight to affect foes, you can't put bases in front of them, put them behind stuff.

You also don't need them extended by range really again because they need a line of sight, they won't affect an enemy over a couple lines of maze bases. Mind controls are great to use up extra tower slots if you have a nice kill zone. They aren't great if you don't know how to use them correctly.

In a good kill zone your going to have

1 acp

2 AA (you don't want aa near each other they tend to double shoot at targets, wasting their potential, you want them apart in the maze. You want them in the range of the amp of course, and you dont' want them right near the core, they tend to have trouble shooting. Either put 1 near core and 1 further front, or one on left side one on right)

1 range tower boosting your kill zone towers

1 amp boosting your kill zone towers

1 slow mines to slow up the map

various damaging towers of your choice. People love focus, i tend to love a lightning tower myself.

Once you have your basic kill zones set up and damaging towers ready, any left over spots are great for mind control towers. Again you get them to level 3 and they are good, they are good for out of range spire also since range spire doesn't really affect them in a good maze. Put them at strategic points in your kill zone to keep foes bottled up as they approach (not in front of the kill zone lol).

Varies by people of course. Some like to slow mine the whole map and take no-slow perks to be effective in it, some like smaller slow areas so they can run and fight without getting slowed everywhere except the kill zone, etc. You get the idea.

I consider mind control towers a must have for any non-boss map on survival, and even on survival maps with boss's you can put them in places to keep them from provoking boss's and still work in your maze good.

multiple people. one person can have 4 towers, but you'll want about a half dozen to fully do well. With a group and doing long survival games, Drone towers are great for waves that aren't affected by an ACP. It's a little hard to do survival for long with only 4 towers solo, usually you'll have a weakness to certain foes that makes it tough.

Solo, i'd say a Range, Amp, ACP and your 4th tower of choice. Sadly if there is air foes you'll need AA towers which tends to leave you weak since your ACP is the only damaging tower and that isn't going to cut it against tougher enemies. But if you have a few people with a few extra towers, works much better.

Basic Amp, Range, slow mines, ACP.. then throw in Antiair, A drone tower or 2, and what ever tower of choice is your gunning tower (focus, makeshift, etc).
