Unfortunately, the project has been killed as of a couple days ago..
TLDR: LPP used AI for phone guy's voice and a lot of people took issue with that, including Scott Cawthon, since it was his voice.
As far as I'm aware, he only said that Scott Cawthon wasn't going to do the voice acting for him, and that he had to find a workaround.

As for LPP's situation, it looks like he's rectifying.
He's removed the AI generated 'Scott voice' from the game, and replaced it with the original voice acting that was used for the generation. Sounds like he's just waiting for SC's approval to proceed with development. (Tweet)
