Announcements / What's Next (edited 4/23/2025)
After almost a week, we've gathered a ton of awesome feedback from you all! There are a few major things that seem to be generally agreed upon that is being looked at / reworked for the upcoming build (ETA this week):

- mod system
- mid-late game is currently too easy
- sniper towers are OP
- general balance

On top of those major things, we've added/fixed a ton of other things which should improve the experience. Here are a few of the items we've addressed:

- will be able to generate flat terrain
- turrets will be able to attack into and out of liquid, but have reduced accuracy when doing so
- lots of other balance tweaks and economy adjustments
- lots of other bug fixes and crash fixes

Thanks for playing, thanks for giving feedback, and thanks for your patience while we get it all dialed in!

If I may, I think having ore veins destroyed along with the mines is too harsh, especially since they're the only consistent way of getting ore. Instead of a permanent punishment for losing them, what about reworking them to reward keeping them alive? Have ore mines give an increasing bonus, up to a cap, per wave survived? And instead of destroying the ore vein, it only destroys the mine instead, and maybe giving a penalty to ore earned for a wave or two. Secondly, what if ore veins further from our base give more ore? I feel like it would encourage more sprawling defenses instead of building them all in one spot.

That's a very interesting idea. Bringing it to the table now!
Just a bit of feedback (I've only played the demo so far and I am deciding whether to spend the 18 dollars rn). Is there any way to have the base you built be automatically repaired (with the cost of resources of course)? It is kinda frustrating to have something you've designed and set up to be destroyed in an attack and not remembering how you built it. I also noticed a weird movement direction issue when in build mode, it seems that the movement is not relative to the head rotation of the player, instead it is relative to the body rotation, so it would go in a slanted direction if I were to press a movement key. One last thing, could you remove the minimum cap on the sensitivity? I play a lot of competitive FPS games and are used to having a SUUUUPER slow sensitivity, even the lowest camera sensitivity is too fast for me.
Thanks for reading! BF1 was my childhood and I really want this title to surpass the legendary status BF1 is in (in my heart).
The biggest problem now i think one is the ELITE as mentioned, and the zombie jumper, it jumping ability combine with its very close spawn points really makes too hard to deal with

And that lead to another things i thinks needs to be mentions, the tutorial for the modules system is missing, i'm holding only because my experience back in times and the help of a Led MG Tower Range modules, i thinks it really needs some tutorial to shows the strength of modules.

Will Foursaken Media be adding mod support and mod dev tools?
This is the first game iv ever wanted to try to mod, and would love to be able to add to the community.

As someone who played the hell out of the first, I feel the meta upgrade system is too complicated for its own good in this one, as well as lacking as much customization. Being able to personally mod weapons to your liking and saving up to beef up all your turrets was a lot more satisfying before, as of now its just hoping you roll one of the ones you want for one of the unlocks you want. Also why so many currencies? Seems redundant, I feel they should be one universal coin instead.

Yeah I agree - we are actually revamping the global mod system so that you can unlock whatever mods you want, and then upgrade their rarity. Should be much closer to that "customize yourself how you want" feeling that you got from BF1! Note that the in-game mods will remain random generated, bc we feel thats an important part of adding variety to each run, sort of like a rogue-lite experience, and also allowing you try out new strategies that you may not have ordinarily tried! For example you might not know how good bots are, then get a "free armor bot" mod, and suddenly you see that they can be a game changer (which could make you consider them in the future as a viable strategy)!
I have played all the bf games, and one thing I'm missing from the original is that the first gun/plasma gun is a full on rifle and not a pistol. please bring back the pistols in some form. the second thing i think needs improving is too many goblocks! some planets should just have foes that arnt goblocks i want to fight a good mix of foes. the game is fun dont get me wrong just there is 3 other factions that we can fight and you chose to over do one. finally a game mode a bit like block fortress war could be a nice addition. the two barracks sending waves out would be fun.

Looking into an answer for you. Are you in mainland China by any chance?

yes
Is it possible to add more slots for mods? 4 is not enough with so many mods, and is it possible to add more functions such as add the range of the soldiers? or maybe to use the same mod together to make super soldiers or turrets?
does upgrading the banner and ore mine provide more of their respective material or is it just an increase to their health

Just health, would be cool if its upgradeable with the future mod system rework

This sounds perfect! I do like the roguelike feel of pulling the mods mid game but yes with customization globally itd be great. Love the responsiveness of yall and so so sooo happy to have these games back. Thanks for being awesome!
