Running this on physical CD issue

I bought the physical game for PC and while trying to play it, the game is nearly pitch black when playing it on the first level. The menus are fine, just the gameplay. Anyone else experience this or maybe have a fix for this?

This seems to be an AMD issue, as I have noticed other people's comments on a particular website to play this abandoned game by methods of not my own. I'm curious for a fix.

Is there any manual updates for the game that you might have to DL online?

A lot of older CD based games had this.
