I would email them and find out, though I don't see why they wouldn't most devs do.

I putted in a support ticket on this because I am not buying this game again...

After contacting Rovio they said that if its bought before not on Steam then you can't activate the game on Steam and you will have to rebuy it...

Wow, that's pretty shallow, so much for supporting and appreciating customers who buy your games.

It's not shallow at all. It's how MANY games work. They don't want to be totally tied to steam's DRM, they don't have to. The game's been out for years before it was on steam, that would be millions and millions of keys they'd have to give. Think before you post.

I did think before I post, a lot of other companies have done the same thing, especially if they have been Greenlit, I just think it's a bad move openly telling customers who PAY for YOUR game that to get all Steam's features. If I had the games on iOS or somewhere else, I could see them saying no, but I own them all on PC, so there is NO HARM in them providing Steam keys to those who wish to have one.

NO harm, but no benefit to them or steam either. It would actually cost steam a LOT of resources and money to allow everyone who ever purchased it in the last to buy it again. (it's sold over 20 million copies).

And as I said not EVERY person who owns the game off Steam will want a key for Steam, some users may not have or want a Steam account to play Angry Birds.

Bad very bad news to me :(

Not every person then; maybe just the people who request one.

Any PC game that didn't originally launch on Steam doesn't hand out keys after. It just doesn't happen. Why would Rovio suddenly want to pay 30% of all its PC sales to Valve just so it can hand out Steam keys?

DLC Quest is on desura and the developer said he is going to hand out Steam keys to people who own it on Desura when it gets released on Steam. The same thing goes for Gnomoria. Loads of games and game devs do it

It's the exception when companies do, not the rule. If you guys knew ANYTHING about steam you would know this already without having to make threads about it.

I would bet they're just worried about people handing out the keys to others that didn't buy the game.
