Why cant we flatten with sand the cable trenches
The stupid game even FLATTENS the sand around the trench and build UP on top of the trench https://imgur.com/a/fRDHBxm

Its the same stupid cr*p when you happens to terraform (Because the idiotic idea of having too cycle through ALL modes to turn off ONE) how ever much sand you fill ON and AROUND the TF it build the TF HIGHER. :steamfacepalm:

cant u push it down with the dozer in manual mode?

You need to have a deep enough layer of sand before placing the cable (like a whole dump truck mound). Then lay the cable, and after that you can smooth out the top ridge made by laying the cable.
So avoid laying cable down the middle of the road?

it was the only place to have the cable, and it was no road. Just forest.

you cant put cable on roads

you have to lay sand first then the cable over that so u can flatten the sand afterwards and THEN you build a road on top of that. Works for me every time without deformations.

Doesnt work. I have done that before in the 2nd map. Same stupid unflattenable trench.

What did work was 2nd mode (Asphalt breaker) and going in reverse! That flattened the trench almost perfectly. I also used the big Dozer (looks like tank with blade)

I use the midgame dozer in asphalt destruction mode, then manually lower the blade into the ground and it'll dig a hole / flatten where the molehill used to be.

Never tried on the early loader but it might work as well, although you can't point that blade into a triangle so you'll have to be careful to not end up with a big hole.

I am wondering what type of sand the drifts across the roads are since they can not be flattened or removed,,, Must have blown in from Dune.

you got that one completely upside down.
Trench was dug first, sand was added after when saw it was good sport for shortcut. You simply cant flatten around deformed terrain with sand.
You can fill the holes up with sand and flatten everything. Works okish!
This!. You should be able to follow the route with the bulldozer and flatten the mess.
