Semi Truck issues
The Semi truck not having axle lockers and diff lock on the drive axles makes this vehicle useless.

Its meant for roads. Just repair roads and build your own if you need to haul that many items.

yea somehow limited-slip differentials do not exist in this world.
And how realistic it that the trailer itself can't be detached from the truck is pretty insane. Awfully insane. But there you go. The developers knows the vehicles "amazingly good".

I bought it in Sunken and tried using it to haul like, 10 concrete slabs from the plant to the base. Got stuck, had to use a crane to move it out. Used the Veron to haul the same amount of slabs without an issue, lol. Sold the semi after that.

I used it to haul 15 slabs and it tipped turning it into a physics helicopter so it was worth it for that, but yes it is kind of silly to have such a large bed but cant really fully load it. Stiffer suspension and locked diff would be nice, I ended up using a scout and towing it around which worked but not really ideal.

The thing is in the time it takes to pave over every slightly problematic surface between point A and point B you could have just done a couple extra trips with the mule or the pike and still have saved hours worth of time.
That's even if you need to make an extra trip since you can overload like crazy now.

The trucks need to be capable enough for the scenarios the players find themselves in if the developers actually expect us to use them outside of the few mandated vehicle swaps. As it stands the semi and the azov have zero use in the game because they need far too much support to even function and offer no benefit for it.

But they sure do look cool in the garage. And when they release a slightly better version of them as DLCs, people will buy them!

Or they just need to be used for a few scenarios that work. I mean, I learned that in Snowtires, a semi truck is the most useless POS there is lol. Like if you can't find a good route for it, DO NOT USE IT unless you want to make it.

Like, how hard is that? I mean it's a road-building game, not a semi-truck driving simulator, like even my pal when he unlocked it was like "who the hell wants a semi, it turns wide, and you basically have to make roads for it to be any good? I could just take another truck and do the same thing faster." It's like, yeah, that is the point, use the medium as a simple sand road in a few bad spots, and you're set.

Semis have inter axle lockers and full set of locking diffs. Developers not putting them in there is an artificial nerf. The truck is already not optimal because of size, but instead of being a capable, unique challenge due to that size, it is entirely useless. Thats the issue.

The issue is again, they never intended you to use them off-road, and "capable" and standard issue aren't the same thing. Even in snowtires HIGHWAY TRUCKS WERE DOO DOO you need to be some insane high level to modify them to ever work offroad.

it's fine to use the others truck you mentioned if you prefer, me, on the other hand, I like to take my time to clean, pave and organise routes and paths accordingly, aka road craft, so I have plenty of fun using the semi and other big trucks without issues :)

You seem to be missing the issue here. Axle lockers and diff locks are standard on every truck except the most bare bones, cheapest option you can buy. A construction company that is sent out to restore and repair infrastructure after a natural disaster isnt going to send out equipment incapable of doing the job. On top of that we dont even have the feature to upgrade vehicles like we did in snowrunner. So again, there is no point in using the semi in its current state. Its already at a disadvantage do to size, and with out the ability to maneuver on anything other than dry pavement makes it entirely useless. They gave us content in the game that serves no purpose. In terms of capability compared to other vehicles it doesnt hold up. There is nothing it does that is worth while. It needs to be buffed is what im getting at.
