Lost 40 hours of save progression, anyone know the solution?

I have the save data in my folders, I can't load into my saves though when I launch the game it just says start new campaign.

Email the dev and ask them directly via the support on they website.Sound like your save was corrupted somehow.Did you try to replace the file with the backup file in your save folder?

There a folder where the game save are located with a couple of backup you can use to restore your playthrought

How can you restore it when the folders have the saves? I've tried deleting them and then fresh boot for cloud save, nothing... I still cannot see either of the saves I have made.. I really do not want to start this game over again lol

Based on all the discussions all over the place about this game they will be throwing up a patch soon to fix the game at least temporary. The ratings are holding strong tho at %71 so thats actually good based on most games i watch so thats real good news for them. They need to adress the issues now and not later like they did in all the other games. STAY ON TOP OF STUFF DEVS!!!

If anyone wants to I could upload my save. It does contain preorder and DLC vehicles so not sure if it works if you don't have these.

The save is level 11 and has the first four maps completed 100%

Maybe you will get more progress back than you lost, but you can restart maps from the hub if you wanna replay and buy and sell vehicles to lower your cash. Only thing that can't be removed is the profile level.

Losing your save is awful especially in a time consuming game like this.

I restarted again, but does anyone knows if there is something causing this or is random? I noticed that I try to play today before I loose everything but I had no internet, and I closed the game upon the message that I could loose all... Maybe is when you open the game offline?

Determine if it is a Hardware vs. Software fault.

Make sure you are connected to Steam.

Copy the Original save file somewhere. Start a New game in a different save slot than the one you picked for the Original save. Play through the game a little and then save and quit. Load that New game up (if possible) ten times from a full game quit and see if it is at least stable for that New save. Also check to see if the slot is populating in the correct slot and hopefully the Original save slot may even magically appear.

If the New slot save is loading up just fine move on to Hardware checks.

If not, reinstall and verify integrity for the game. Now, try the steps above again and if no such luck wait for a patch or Driver updates.

Turn off steam cloud for this game and restore backup save from the backup folder into your current playthrought folder.Keep cloud at off.You did not lose yet your save....i havent restore it yet.
