In snowrunner there was a lot complaining about getting vehicles free ingame.
It was claimed pay to win - can you believe that?
So now you actually have to buy them ingame - but they are still available.
Consider the perspective: If the DLC had launched 6 months or a year from now, you wouldn't have given a second thought to having to buy the new truck from a dealer. (meaning: Just Like In American Truck Sim - new truck comes out, visit the dealer, buy it.)
It's only that the DLC is available from Day One that skews the perspective that it should be 'free' in game. It's not even particularly expensive. I haven't even completed the first map on a brand new save and I can just about buy it...
The Company have not listed or mentioned about having to purchase it in game, it stats it comes included from the start = Included in your vehicle list.
Just so you know, you can get through the first three maps without buying anything, rusty vehicles work and you cannot get rid of them because they are a safety against softlocking. You can buy the invictus as soon as you complete like two or three quests and it won't create any issues.
It doesn't state anywhere that you get it right away. Just that it will now be in your game. If it were on your garage from the start it would just make the starting scouts redundant right away so its good that you have to pay for it. Same with the tracked sander.
