Road tutorial bug? or am I missing something obvious?

I ran into what seems like a tutorial-breaking bug.

The game directed me to the shop menu on Map 2 and basically encouraged me to buy a vehicle (I picked the dozer). Later, I realised it actually gives you a rusty dozer as part of the tutorial.

I started the sand/road tutorial using the new dozer, but the tutorial didn’t progress. The game then told me to fetch the rusty dozer from the garage, so I switched to that and smoothed out the sand some more, but it still won’t update to the next phase.

Now I’m stuck. It feels like the tutorial script expects a very specific sequence, and using the new dozer early on might’ve broken it. Honestly, this seems like an oversight in the scripting or progression checks. Buying the dozer shouldn’t break things.

I’ve gone over the sand multiple times with the rusty dozer, and I’ve also tried restarting the game. No luck so far.

Do I need to reset the map entirely, or is it not broken and it's just me being stupid and missing something obvious?

I didn't get any prompt that my road was good. The prompt for "your route still sucks" just went away. Try sending your convoy.

Edit: There is also a smaller spot past the big obvious one that needs work, only like two sand loads.

Just to be clear, were you prompted to put asphalt down, or was smoothing just the sand enough?

Also yeah, I filled both spots with sand

if your talking about the prompt that stays saying to use sand smooth mode, it went away after sending the convoy across it
