Mud visuals and vehicles behavior are much less impressive
The mud here seems to be much more simplified in the way it works. When you pass through it multiple times back and forth, the surface evens out and simply becomes like a plain, lower than untouched surface. There are no separate deep trails created for each consecutive run that have their own small "walls" on both sides of tire and additional ones behind or in front of tire, depending on movement direction. It's kinda hard to describe in text, but people who have played the series will probably understand what I mean.

Secondly - if you're not using diff lock, you will notice that differential works extremely weird here. Take a dump truck - even if you have all wheel drive, only one wheel of all 6 will actually be spinning - the one which is facing the least resistance.

For example only 1 front wheel, while the wheels on the back remain completely still. I know 99% of people just turn diff lock on and don't bother, but in previous games even trucks without diff lock could actually move through the surface. Here they simply stall even on a solid road.

Also the suspension seems to be extremely stiff, it barely deforms, which kinda feels like toy trucks. I even liked Expeditions a lot, was looking forward to Roadcraft, but it seems to just be much simplified in it's physics and vehicle-terrain interaction, only having overall better weather effects and some new cool mechanics. But it doesn't feel as impressive as previous games.

Suspension I agree. It did not feel like heavy trucks. Mudrunner does it perfectly.
I never had to worry about getting stuck. But that might be the point of the game to focus on the new mechanics instead of the same old ones. Multi is nice without having to rescue people that are stuck or flipped all the time.

At the same time, the purpose of roads is so your vehicles do not get "stuck". But if there is no worry of getting stuck or falling over, there is no point of roads.
