STOP comparing RoadCraft to Snowrunner, Expeditions, Spintires, Mudrunner, VR
You missing entirely extremely massively the point.

I played them all, EVEN the original Mudrunner

Spintires has more spinning tires.
Mudrunner is more about mud.
Snowrunner is more about snow and DLC milk.
RoadCraft more chillin´.
Expeditions is more about rocks, entirely different niche.

Completely different games, perhaps even different genres.

Just because a game is from the same developer, uses the same game and dlc assets and ideas, the same gameplay loop, and the same vroom vroom doesn´t mean you can´t compare them, get a clue.

Comparing apples to garlic.

After the overly positive reception and massive sales success of Expeditions the developers wanted to go completely CRAZY and create something entirely new, never seen before with RoadCraft. Very cool of them, if you consider that other bad actor devs just re-release more and more of the same crap superfiscially brushed in different colors as seperate games to make a quick buck.

This is NOT SNOWRUNNER because it is named RoadCraft not even SNOWcraft or RoadRUNNER. So it is extremely stupid to compare these games because their names are not even matching.
In the trailer you can see how all the honest big streamers enjoy it, so submissive gamers sucking industry d´s for free of course understand and preorder.

A DLC for a game whose only similarities are driving and trucks? Hardly. How much specialized, heavy machinery was in Mud/Snowrunner?
dude its exactly the same game with some logging and buldozing machines

Obviously different games, but perfectly comparable. Not equal, but comparable. Don't confuse the two. It's clearly an evolution of SnowRunner that in turn was an evolution of MudRunner.

Ok we will stop compare this game to the others of the same developers. But you all stop be fanboys and open your eyes.
We don't say that this game is bad, we just want to know WHY THEY REMOVED THINGS THAT WAS FUN PART OF THE GAMEPLAY AND MAKED IT ARCADE-EASY?

So, um define massive sales success. One of their games sold 101,000 units, another sold 1.2 million units. Which of these are "massive sales successes"? One of them is Expeditions, one of them is Snowrunner.

So should the devs be able to try something different? OF COURSE! Always try new things, that's how gems are created in gaming. However, they tried that with Expeditions and it didn't go well. 101k units sold on Steam isn't a massive success when Mudrunner sold over a million and then Snowrunner not counting all the DLC sold over 1 million as well. Again, your definition of massive sales success is, odd.

So yes devs can do what ever they want, 100% always, but their largest playerbase is Snowrunner players and they are always going to be looking for the next Snowrunner.
The first map in SnowRunner is... mud and flood zones. The third map in SnowRunner is... mud and flood zones. I'm not sure I agree on the game themes to that level lol. I think they just came up with some good names ultimately. I do think the snow physics are awesome in SnowRunner; but it seems like such a small portion of the actual game.
I won´t stop comparing them, nope.
this isn't a runner game tho different name, different game, different vibe.

Kind of agree, but chilling? No, RoadCraft is about building roads.

this is what the French store page says:

"Grâce au nouveau moteur développé par Saber Interactive, découvrez une nouvelle génération de simulation avancée, par les créateurs de MudRunner et SnowRunner. Déplacez chaque objet en tenant compte de sa masse et de sa taille. Interagissez avec des éléments comme le sable, le bois ou le goudron pour remodeler le terrain et faciliter le mouvement de vos véhicules."

I don't know what the Official English page says, and I can't be bothered to translate it myself, so here is a deepl translation:

"Thanks to the new engine developed by Saber Interactive, discover a new generation of advanced simulation from the creators of MudRunner and SnowRunner. Move each object, taking into account its mass and size. Interact with elements such as sand, wood and tar to reshape the terrain and facilitate the movement of your vehicles."

The main point being they do themselves compare to the previous games saying they improved on them.

What you think about it is irrelevant, you can't ask people to stop comparing, when comparison is their selling point.
If they want to stop the comparing, then stop marketing to the people that play the "other" games.
Make a RC section on the SR Discord and you get people comparing, rightfully so, and the games are comparable, yet not the same, i am fine with that at large.

looks like snowrunner.
