First Assetto Corsa Competizione which never changed this, then Assetto Corsa Evolution, and now i find Road craft albeit only a demo at this juncture...but they are ALL enforcing me the player to have to play the game in the way the developer decides?
What do i mean?
This, Why is it that in ALL three titles i am not allowed to freely bind control inputs to my choosing?, Why do the Devs for both these titles arrognatly have decided what i should be using, these 4 controller schemes to me are BS, stop trying to decide what i should use to play and how i might want to bind my controllers inputs..that's for me to decide, i'm the one playing.
So since i have ever used a controller at any time for a driving game i have ALWAYS used the right analogue stick as the brake and the accelerator, and this has always been possible since the days of Gran Turismo 1 and probably even before, why is it these imho disrespectful arrogant decisions are being enforced now by these 2 devs?, and significantly it was no problem in Mudrunner or Snowrunner, so why this totally illogical change,?, would you do this?
This is a definite no buy for me EVER if this arrogant decision making is not changed even i f i had bought the best wheel rig on the planet, it would not matter in the slightest this is still total arrogant design. It's not respectful to us the players, and to me it's similar to a FPS dev deciding that, all players have to use legacy or invert, but don't give the player the choice, the outrage would be off the scale..
In ETS2 no problems, in FS22 I have to recalibrate the wheel at every reboot, then it works quite well here too (instead of 2x 45° dead zone maybe 2x4°).
The Logitech G29 works ... idiosyncratic ... if you just look at the mouse stupidly, the steering wheel is out again - only after you have 'ONLY turned the steering wheel' does the control switch back - this could be solved much better.
Also that you can set what is connected where and how - a mixture between ETS2/FS22 would be desirable.
However, I am not a controller player - after a few attempts I have decided for myself that we probably don't go together ;)

So Sorry just saw the message!
I have used jellyfish with steam and it got a bit fiddly, but once up and runing it rans well ! .. I never have a problem in fs22 or AST/EST.. LOVE Motortown ! and now i just got the pxn gear shifter too
i get where you coming from though.. just hope the game will be better than demo for sure !
A game like this should support direct, fully mappable USB devices. We are getting bulldozers etc.. tracked vehicles. I want to be able to setup flight pedals to control the tracks individually. Joysticks for the cranes. And a working steering wheel and pedals.
None of this is unusual in Sim games. It is normal and common.
Only Saber has worse Wheel support with every game they release.
Let's see what the full release brings....
