8 maps - is it enough?

Well, there'll be more, just like Expeditions or Snowrunner. Depends on how much there is to do on the maps at full release though I guess.

It's big enough when you consider this game is less about driving and exploring than Snowrunner or even Expeditions. You generally stay in the same spots longer doing construction activities.

If the map system is gonna be the same as the demo on full release then that sucks. having to go back to menu to change map sucks, and the maps felt really small. Not overly impressed with the demo preview so I now dont have high hopes
