Absolutely insane.

How many times do we have to tell game developers to give us full authority over rebinding keyboard controls.

NOT EVERYBODY USES QWERTY / WASD

When I want to rebind the WASD configuration, I cannot have multiple bindings for the same keys for different modes

THE DEFAULT CONTROLS USE THE SAME KEYS TWICE!!!!

But the game won't let me do the same thing.

I am absolutely fed up with developers just assuming everyone is going to use WASD

Seems modern games increasingly fail to get keybinds right.

There is a ton of keys in RoadCraft that aren't bindable. The F key in many contexts for example and many, many more.. sad.

The reassignments are not saved!
Is there any way to edit the settings file?

Nope. In the devs infinitive wisdom they encrypt all config files because screw you player
