Upgrade ships // Reassign captains

Great game - I'm having a blast!
Used to spend hours (and sometimes still do) playing Sid Meier's "Pirates!", and finally I have something similar to that feeling in the game :D

Anywhoo - You need to fix so that you can either demolish a ship to reassign captains (put them back in the "captain's pool"), or the option to upgrade (or downgrade) ships. Seems silly to just let ships and captains die on the open water, instead of this option.

Again - love the game, please make these changes!

this was asked since launch week they acknowledged they are thinking to a way to make that better, hopefully we'll get a second patch soon cuz I am starting to lose faith tbh

I might have 8 cogs and 4 ketch that have not "died" since the start of my game and I now have materials to make 5 frigates.. I am just good at swapping out the ships when they get damaged.
8 cogs and 4 ketch can take down frigates and brigantines.
