Boars -100%

I'm enjoying this game so far but I have run into a snag in Campaign mode: I have to produce 2 meat but the only island I own with boars says they are -100%. So how do I fix that so I can move to the next challenge?

Glad to hear that you're having a good time :) So you'll need to claim either Hell's Gate or Fair Island to gain access to boars. If you look at the tactical map and mouse over each island you can see the unique resources and production conditions for each island. Hope that helps!

Thanks for the quick response. I have looked and Hell's Gate isn't listed as having boars. I have just eliminated all of the enemy on Fair Island but the game won't let me build. It says I can't build on an enemy island but there's no one left to defeat.

LOL I ran into that issue too until I discovered that you need to click on the Island/dock location to "claim" the island.

Ah you are correct! Fair Island is the first island that has a source of boars (my mistake!). As luckyrwe says you'll need to click the blue house icon to claim the island and place your docks before you can start building.

I ran into a similar issue, and you have to make sure you click the icon that appears after you clear your rivals out of that island. It's something that can be difficult at first, but it's a good incentive to expand beyond the starting island.

You can place your Boar Huts anywhere, even on Islands with no plus or minus% to its production, there is no requirements as for Ores and Herbs as example.

So I've settled Fair Island and put up a hunting lodge and a butcher but after an hour of game play, the hunting lodge has nothing in it. Efficiency is 0 and production is infinity. Am I missing something?

Do the buildings have workers? You need tier 2 housing on the island to get the right worker type for the hunters lodge -> butcher chain. Also the hunters' lodge needs free space around it, just like a logging camp.
