How to open treasure vaults?

Is there a trick or something. I have found some of this vaults but i was not able to open or destroy them. Can someone help.

I've found explosives work. You can lure the bomb type enemies over or use the bomb curse. Some spells also work such as meteor.

Research at the old guy: treasure vault. It looks like a metal reinforced box.

meteor, bombs, dash, boulder, any non discriminative damage (they also destroy circular saw traps btw)

Boulder does not work, I tested it myself and a friend is streaming on Disc right now and boulder'ed the ♥♥♥♥ out of it and it did not open - but as you stated, the mine works.

Oh okay, yeah, I've seen those. I mostly ignore them unless I'm running meteor. Never realized they were called "vaults" seems a grandiose name for a crate reskin :P

That's what I suspected. Thank you for confirming! Seems unfortunate to require such spells, particularly early on. I generally have no interest in those...
