Spinning fire trap puzzle... WTF?

What am I supposed to do with this thing? There is no indication of interaction. I've tried pushing the stones, standing next to them, hitting them with different elements, throwing every summon I could in the treadmill paths... What are you supposed to do with this thing?

activate thew buttons under the spinning fire so they show the colour of the stones

So... just walk in and take the fire damage? I really hope it drops HP as part of the reward... I mean, I figured that was the inevitable solution, but I was hoping there was something I missed, I guess not. Oh well, here goes nothin'...

Look I don't mean for this to sound like a "git gud" sorta comment, but it's one of the easiest side puzzle things, I've only taken damage from it once or twice total out of around 15-20 attempts. Just go in a circle and hit the buttons once per rotation until it's correct, I sometimes go for the double press even if it's more risky.

There are convenient gaps between the fire if you don't want to take damage. It's not nearly as scary as it looks.

Seems like the fire moves a lot faster now, not always feasible unless your toon moved really fast as well

Well, it's faster than it used to be, or it was bugged last time I saw it. It was 2x the old speed, my toon could not follow it with +10-15% movement speed, even near the middle.

Walk in between the flames and press the buttons on the right until the colors match the buttons on the left. The flames rotate slowly enough to be avoided, unless if you have a keyboard or gamepad issue. If you're having a hard time with this puzzle, it might be your choice of controller. 🎮
