End Game Ballance
Whilst the build up to the end game is fun I personally find the last stage bosses on nightmare unbalanced. By this I mean they are too spongy. There damage and power I feel is fine however unless you craft lots of increase damage spells and manage to get lucky and create a decent load out the endgame just feels out of balance with all the other stages. Just an opinion and a suggestion. Overall though thanks for a good game...

There are a few ways to absolutely destroy them. Poison stacking is the one I went with. I used a "charge for every meter of movement" wand with Poison+Thunderstorm and then cast Orbit+Lightning Dash on cooldown the first time. The second time (on Nightmare) I used basically the same strategy, but instead of Thunderstorm I used Orbit+Fuse+Firebreath to completely blanket the screen in firebreath circles which tick even faster. I ended up seeing poisons ticking for over 70k on some of the bosses, the actual final bosses second phase died before my lightning dash came off cooldown for a second go.

That said, it being easy for certain builds isn't really a good argument. It just means that both those builds and the bosses are overpowered. The entire game is a bit too easy to break and I've only failed once per difficulty or less.

its a game with an exponential player power curve

if the difficulty curve was linear the last bosses would be trivial

the only downside with things as they are is that yes, there is a small corner of the game where you do need a relatively good build to succeed.
