Fair enough, maybe some of these are nitpicky. But if we’re okay with this level of translation, should we just go back to "All Your Base Are Belong to Us" levels of quality?
I mean, who really cares if things make sense, right? As long as the game looks shiny and the numbers go up, everything is fine.
The thing is, dialogue is a one-time thing—you see it once and move on unless you replay the game. But relics, potions, and other descriptions? They stick around. These are the tooltips we rely on to know what an item does. Is it good or bad? Do we want it or skip it? If the wording is unclear, it actually affects gameplay decisions.
Also, just to be clear—English is not my native language, so I might be missing some cultural references in their translation. If that’s the case, I’d love for someone to explain them. But if it's just a case of awkward wording, then it still needs improvement.
That’s actually interesting. I haven’t seen the secret dev boss dialogue—what does it say? If 1.1 made things even worse, maybe we should be looking at those instead.
Anyone got screenshots of the worst offenders?
The only bad thing about is when there is a passive of something and you don't know what it does, that's it.
The rest just use the potion and figure it, it's part of the charm
