Secondary slots are the thing certain wands have where the spell can't be cast by just clicking and uses "energy" it generates through some action or other instead of mana. Boundary Stones can turn an entire wand into them if desired. At this point, it's worth mentioning that "Boundary Stone: Time" is often faster than natural mana regen. The drawback, of course, is that you have no choice but to fire constantly even when there are no enemies onscreen.
So Wands that have a secondary function such as standing still/casting/hitting monsters gives X "charge" to spells in those slots. Makes way more sense now, and I'll be using Infusion Hand Seal more often now, works well with the spirit attachment and the Boundary stones as well.
Yeah, the translation of the game is often kind of sketchy.
Wand Spirit uses actual mana, not secondary slots. Just felt you should know.
