Thats a hot mess you got there :D you should change nearly everything... I don't know if a step-by-step is helpful here

Um yeah jeez you got a bunch of non-effective weak spells on tons of wands and not one of them is going to kill anything hard fairly fast. Poison is mostly worthless since your not poison chick and you don't have enough poisons upgraded to stack decently enough, so ditch that all together.

You don't need your Cthulu on a wand at all UNLESS you are using him with the books that will summon him 3-6 times that way (if you get double summons). That is a VERY powerful combination but it's not what your doing. Mind you, because you are using the auto cast character you can't summon cthulu yourself outside of combat so you do need to set up a wand with your maxed out cthulu, enter a room with combat and get him summoned and then remove him afterwards.

Without using books a good use of autocast on summons is the hands spells, you want to have the summon upgrades for them (you can pump their attack speed to 120% with 2 level 2 ones btw...without using the speed upgrade guys that hurt them (That being said, 2 level 2 troll blood and an upgrade maggot passive (the one that boosts speed) is almost as good and uses 1 less slot.

The butterfly wand is a horrid waste of your auto-cast and mouse control. IF you added pierce maybe, but without that your way better off using something like boomerang or the swords that circle you or even the star crit spell if you can get the crit % over the min to auto boost damage by 150%.

Honestly you have such a hot mess I would just suggest finding yourself a blacksmith and re-rolling everything to get some decent combos. You are spread way out and nothing is strong at all. I don't even like the all auto-cast character at all, it's actually more of a penalty than a bonus in my opinoin especially once you have 4 base wands. 4 wands is all you need, you can still have autocast on 2 of them, but as you play more switching between wands becomes second nature, and with soul link you can summon before entering a room. Also if you are spamming 1 spell alot, the passives that auto cast when you cast other spells and have a chance of not costing mana are generally way better anyway.

I would just give up that run (which you have probably finished by now anyway) and start over, and play another character. Honestly Bing is the strongest by far, but the others can be fun to play for a challenge etc. Bing's slam attack though does a ton of damage to bosses...is great for defense (moves you far away from big attacks etc fast) lets you skip most of the puzzles and lets you get most chests etc without flight.

After bing you have a few other better choices than the wand chick. Summoner gets higher and higher ranks of Ember heart....which makes early game cake and works well with things like mouse aim + lightning (mind you bings slam is MUCH stronger with the same combo since you can use it in lightning form).

The one that starts you with mouse aim and lightnint is pretty powerful as well, even if you don't use that combo you can get them both upgraded to + and then roll them for other things.

Also the dash chick can be pretty insane as you can get multiple charges of dash AND you can reduce it's cooldown to under 1 second. That means you can basically spam a SUPER INSANELY STRONG evll sword for instance that covers the whole screen, hits 10 times each attack for 2000+ damage each hit, gets rid of pretty much all projectiles in the process AND your invulnerable while dashing (btw it also works with the whole screen hitting power but you can't charge it up, not that you need to lol...just pump the damage up extremely high and kill everything just by constantly dashing).

Anyway wish I could be more help but my strongest advice is skip that character other than just to finish the game once as it (and even that is just to do it, no achievement etc).

Best of luck to you.

things of note for the future cause I guess you finished that run already:
a. Charge Mode, Boundary Stone - Stand, and Track are mostly useless in Soul Set.
b. specific wand issues:
1. it's going to summon 1 pop, then a spider and then 1 pop and then wait for the first spider to die before doing anything else. i would take the spider off
2. Fall + Thunderstorm is 1 tick of damage, the kill charge on the tentacle is never going to fill
3. supernova is ok for a wand that works off hitting things, but you are casting the least damaging spell there is
4. seems ok
5. pillars in a circle is not as good as pillars facing an enemy
6. seems ok
7. seems ok

how I would do it:
1. rune hammer - rune hammer - multi-shot - split - damage boost - damage boost - overload - pop
2. collapse crystal - essence of soul - spider - boundary stone move - boundary stone move - boundary stone time - umbilical cord
3. fall - arcane explosion - forced cooldown - magic vine(6 slots wide) - supernova
4. accelerator - accelerator - core of thunder - venom crystal - precise shot - fuse - butterfly
5. tranquil bloom - magic reservoir - range boost - black hole
6. magic reservoir - strong traction - orbit - Range Boost - precise shot+ - thunderstorm
7. venom crystal - spider

thx for the helpful reply, yeah I wasn't really sure if Charge was doing anything here - Track is really helpful, although the wand auto casts you can still control where the shots go with your mouse using that modifier! (I was using track to funnel the butterflys @ the boss instead of his little worm friends)

Wand 3 was firing so fast I had to drop my resolution on my 3080.. I probably should have mentioned that in the post. It was def carrying the run. I tried swapping Fuse with Butterfly in a few rooms and it did less damage, I think because of they fly time?

I gotta pay more attention to how fall effects things. That was probably gimping my dam on that whole wand

Should have also mentioned, on the scarecrows or whatever I was peeking at 10k dam but running out of mana and couldn't sustain that for very long. Really appreciate the tips, vine + supernova makes a lot of sense, I wasn't seeing the potential with that spell

Fall is a blast to play with, buncha spells are just so awesome with it as it adds AoE for each shot, combo it with the nova one that shoots a ton of them. Forget what spell oh yeah!! It was bings arrows I did it with an arrow a few runs back with fall/nova etc and omg it was fun and 300k+ damage per second hehe.

Just did a super fun dash build (um the one that you dash with the space bar and auto use an ability). I mained the hands summon lol. No other summons, no cthulu (though I could have easily, I didn't need it). I just MEGA pumped up the hands with bonus damage, multi-cast etc so the cost was super high (and would cast like 8 a pop) had 2 spell boosts on there so had hands 3, upgrade spell 3, soul link 3 etc. Anyway with soul link 3 they all follow you into another room lol, they attack mega fast for like 500 each and you have like 100 of them before even entering the room. I would then spam them (casting and space bar)for a few seconds before moving up 1 wand to use lightning with mouse so I couldn't be hurt. Multilated the whole game that way. Death but countless hands.

I think you can make any spell into a god like combo, I have not found one yet I couldn't make work, but I have not tried that one water expanding spell and a few others that I'm not normally a fan off (probably because I have them x'd out and they won't drop currently).

Game is so fun, so many ways to play it. I try not to play bing (I do a run a day) but he rocks so hard. Still a few like the dash and auto-cast are just amazing as well, since with luck (I got like 5 upgrades to the shorter cooldown for relects and was able to hit space every .7 seconds (and had 3 max dashes to start with). I did that along time ago with evil sword and that was pretty awesome (think it had like 20 swords per shot all doing insane damage, % max life from fire passive etc.

Anyway glad you finished it. There have been a few I either A: didn't last long enough to kill the producer with or (more often) B: I was doing damage so slow I lost patience and ended the run. I don't really care too much about killing him anymore since it doesn't do anything or give you more materials etc. I may just start skipping him actually.

agree, once you get the achievo, it's not worth doing, wish he had a convo route that let you just return to camp

Really? how fast does spirit wand fire supernova? I wouldn't think to put anything not AOE in that wand cause it has such a high scatter. were the Fuses firing in a huge arc?

looks like the nova fires randomly after charging 1 per like 1-2 seconds, so charge mode does 'something'. 3 beast fangs is %35 more damage and 2 prospectors picks with 540 coins is %100 damage so the wand on paper 1498 dps

Super nova works well with the dash to use a skill setup, but you have to actually be able to afford it for it to work (doesn't go off with dash if it costs more than your max mana). That being said, it's easy mode for non-boss fights that way (You can also hold the button and ALL the novas will charge for a really big hit).

Not really worth it mind you, but still fun to play around with and it doesn't take many slots on a wand to setup. You can do it to rush through the first 4 stages and then use a blacksmith to switch nova for spell upgrade right before fighting the bosses at the end.

A really really easy/fun super strong and quick killing combo for dash dude is lightning with the mouse + twine and the star spell. You need to get your crit to 100%+ but with star spell level 3 and 100+ crit (try and get the one that makes it hit multiple enimes nearby if it crits as well on there), along with a few duration boosts, you just obliterate everything including bosses in seconds. The star spell is super high base damage and at level 3 is multiplies FINAL damage by 200% (not to mention always critting), and twine makes you have a freakton of them circling around your lightning form. What is more you can KEEP casting it with space while in lightning for lol......damage was 3.5 mill on the test dummies by the end of the game.

Had arcane shield on another wand as well, with insane amounts of slots due to mimics. Was one of the first times I actually used all the spell blocks, so I got..........almost every spell was useful lol.

Might like dash dude more at this point just because it's different and you don't kill everything with but slam lol. So many powerful combo's you can get that way...so it's more fun making builds for every spell. Star spell is just seriously insanely strong but I hadn't done a build on it yet. Gonna do a boulder build next lol.
