I just beat Old Sanctuary boss and it was a dead end? Im pretty sure Ive covered all my tracks? Any idea where I go next?

thats optional quest. Its prob falesia magnia next. Go to sun flower, first part of quinta. Instead of heading left to the beach, head right. The locked gate is now open and you can enter Falesia, the next major area. If that gate is still locked, prob talk to pulcinella inside the new hub area/ the stage and he will tell you to go there.
