Favorite weapons to upgrade

What are some good early to mid game weapons everyone likes? Worth upgrading?

I like the fork from the first major boss. Forgot the name.

You can freely try upgrading weapons as you can refund the materials at 100% return-rate. The only thing lost is the currency, memoria.

I will come back with my weapon selection as I do not have the game open now and do not remember the names by heart.

Collossal weapons are the way to go with this game. Usually I'm not fan of them but the amount of damage they do you just can't ignore. Colossal Greaser carried me to the very end and you get this weapon very early. + It's good against armored opponents which I have to say is majority of the enemies starting 2nd region. But once again I had each elemental weapon ready against certain enemies.
