Unbelievable stutter.
It seems as if shader compilation was neglected entirely, the stuttering is so extreme that the game appears to skip through time itself.
With DX12, shader compilation is a hard requirement for the game to run well. It is not optional, it cannot be skipped without rampant stuttering.

Oh, so that's what causes it. I was trying to change the graphics settings but that just made the game look worse without making anything in the performance better. Between that, not being able to change the camera sensitivity, and not being able to rebind anything, I'm sitting this one out for now.

I have way above recommended hardware. In the tutorial I got over 110 fps, but it stuttered, then on the sunflower field it dropped to around 70.
Now i'm in the town after the long bridge and its unplayable (around 60 fps but drops to 40-50 and stutters very heavily when moving or turning the camera). Turning off rtx did almost nothing.

Stutterfest and clunky combat, if you happen to have a stutter when you're fighting an enemy, you're just dead 100%. I didn't have a lot of hope, was more waiting for the soundtrack to come out, I'm glad I tried the demo and will probably pick this game when on sale. Sad.

i got stutter too.. i think dev need to cook more for this game.. i dont mind the clunky and janky gameplay as i played more soulslike game like this and i grow familiar with that state.. but stutter in soulslike its not very welcome

I was able to fix the stutter by turning the graphics setting with motion blur and bloom to low and that fixed it.

Hey, thank you for the report! We'll work on it to make sure the game works well for the final release, in the meantime - could you please tell me what GPU and the driver version are you using? For Nvidia GPUs i highly recommend downloading the latest 555.85 drivers - the game works way smoother on those.

3060 Ti running DCH 555.85, HAGS disabled, Windows 11 Pro.
Changing all game settings to minimum did nothing to solve the stutter which is present on both AMD and nVidia GPUs. Shader compilation is required, there is nothing an end user can do to solve the issue.

Thank you - we are working on the shader compilation - it will be fixed ASAP, should be possible to do it in the demo as well

I'm on AMD. Set graphics settings to 1080, medium settings. Looks nice, no problems from my end!

Tried it on Steam Deck, defeated the first boss with 15fps.
Afterwards I changed graphics to low, fps fluctuated between 40 and 60 so I capped them, but of course the graphics took a massive hit. I really look forward to the final release, nonetheless.
