Protagonist gender?

I spotted this game and put it on my wish list but I am curious, is the protagonist's gender female male or simply an unspecified self insert. thanks

The game doesn't really draw a lot of attention to the player character's gender in any of the dialogue, however when your character is partially shown in any of the artwork it does look like a boy who's wearing a boy's uniform, the game also eludes to a gay romance regarding somebody else so I think that's the idea.

But like I said the game doesn't focus much at all on your gender so if you like the boys you get to date, I bet you'll like the game just fine

If You play in japanese You can chose which "I" You use. More female one, more male one or more samurai one (I guess added as a joke ).

I think it's just up to the player. The game is listed as an otome on DLSite, and if the MC was set to be a guy, it would've probably been listed as BL instead. Also the character looks like either a guy or a girl depending on the CG. Like in Marshmallow's rain event CG it looks like MC has breasts, but in that same route's bad ending CG MC looks totally like a guy.
