LEGO® Batman™: The Videogame

LEGO® Batman™: The Videogame

Mute Characters? Really???
I haven't gotten too far into the game yet but I've noticed that it's as if Batman and Robin have duct-tape in their mouth. Is this pretty much how the game is or does my copy have corrupted audio files? Or is this just because of developer's budget lemontations?

One of the things that immerses me in my legos is the awesome pristine voice-overs. WIthout them, I feel it would be incomplete.

Hmmm. Maybe I shoulda played this one before Lego Batman 2 or Batman 3: Beyond Gotham...?

I'm not meaning to complain, just wanted to find out if the game is supposed to be like this or if something's wrong. If it's normal, I'll just be at peace with it and love and cheerish the game. Every Lego Batman is a winner :D

It's been a while since I played, but, yeah, I think that's just the way it is. The first Lego games didn't have any voice acting. Just grunts and things like that. According to what I just read, "Lego Batman 2" was actually the first Lego game with voice acting.

It was, and that's actually the reason I personally don't want to play any Lego game released after Batman 2. I dunno, I guess I just prefer the humour derived from the muteness. Any Lego game prior to Batman 2 will be completely mute, and this includes the Harry Potters, the Star Wars, and Indiana Jones.
Thanks guys! I appreciate your time and knowlege :) Interesting facts!

ye think it creates a different type of humour as what having a voice has, kind of like the silent movies charlie chaplin etc.....

My theory for the mute characters what I think at this time, video games that had mute characters were becoming popular. I am not 100%, but that's my theory.
