... never had this problem with the game before...

Have you played this game before on that computer? If so, what has changed since then?

If not, I'm not sure what causes that error, but I have seen it at times with a different game. In my case, it only happened if I set the game to use a resolution that was different from my desktop resolution, so you might check that. As I recall, I could get rid of the error if I exited Steam and retsarted it, or maybe rebooted the computer.

This is just a shot in the dark, but you could also try disabling the Steam overlay for the game. I doubt that that will fix it, but it's easy enough to try.

Sorry I can't offer any more solid suggestions.

I've tried messing with the resolution and that didn't work. It worked fine when I first bought my laptop.

Like I said, if the game used to work, then it would seem that something has changed since then, and that's causing the problem. For example, maybe you installed new/different video drivers and there's some kind of compatibility issue with those drivers. Or maybe there's a conflict between the game and some other software that you've installed since then.

back then I had windows 8.1 and now I've got windows 10

Ah. Then (obviously) it may be an issue with Win 10 (either the drivers that it's using, or something else). A quick Web search showed other people getting that error with other games under Win 10 (and other versions of Windows). About all that I can suggest is to try some of the things mentioned in some of those posts and hope for the best. Good luck.

Yeah. I've tried some of the things from videos and stuff and none of it worked. I'll keep looking though. Thanks for your help.

Windows 10 might be a factor somehow, but the game can work under Win 10. I'm using Win 10 now (I wasn't when I made those old posts, 5 years ago :happymeat:) and the game works fine for me. But some other people have had problems, so there may be issues there, but I don't know what causes them.

I found a solution for this
Go to Nvidia Control Panel --> Manage 3D Settings:
Under the global settings tab. Set the DSR Factors to off.

Now Go to the Program settings tab and select legobatman.exe and set the Max Frame Rate to 60FPS.

This worked for me.

I've finally got the game to work by upgrading to a PC runs great and no issues.
