Is Vertical Sync turned on in the game settings? Having that turned off can cause problems for how some objects in this game interact (I don't know why).

If it still doesn't work, check your video card drivers and make sure that they don't have V-Sync disabled (overriding the game settings).

If V-Sync isn't the problem, I don't know what else to suggest except standard things, like having Steam verify the game files.

Sorry, but I don't know what else to suggest. I don't remember having any problem there, but it's been years since I played through the game (I didn't even remember that Killer Moth was in the game ).

I just played through that chapter again and I had no problems with the Joker robot at the end (even without V-Sync). I did have one or two issues along the way when the V-Sync setting in the game was overridden by the video drivers, but the robot worked either way.

I don't know why you're having problems. I guess V-Sync could still be an issue, even if it didn't happen to cause any problems for me. You could have Steam, or something else, display the frame rate while you're playing, just to make sure that it's correct (60 Hz, in my case). If the V-Sync setting in the game has been overridden, the displayed frame rate will be higher (unless you're playing on a very old/weak system).
