Is this version broken beyond belief?
I can't finish any of the levels because I keep running into softlocks. The first Riddler level for example softlocks in the second area where I have to control the tiny car via the technology suit through a small gap. At a certain point, it just won't move anymore. Sometimes the movement isn't working from the first second of me controlling it.

Another level where I found myself softlocked was the first Joker level. I filled up a container with chemicals to make two platforms rise, but once I jumped onto one of those platform I wasn't able to jump properly anymore. I played this game in my childhood on the PS2 and it never was this absurdly broken. Am I doing something wrong or does anyone else experience this?

Edit: Just tried the first Penguin level and had similiar problems to the first softlock. I was able to control the tiny car at certain intervals but I couldn't move it onto the pressure plates. This game has to be broken...

If V-Sync is turned on in the game options, make sure that the game setting isn't being overridden by something else (like the video card drivers set to always keep it off, or to use an alternative sync method, like AMD's Enhanced Sync). You can have Steam, or something else, display your FPS, to make sure that it matches the setting in the game.

FWIW, while there have been a number of posts here recently about problems with the game, it's not just completely broken. I finished it years ago, but I have played it some recently and I had no problems as long as V-Sync was on, including controlling the RC car. I don't know why it's giving some people so much trouble.

Thanks a lot, I had the v-sync turned on, but the game still wouln't run properly, there were a lot of issues, I checked the nvidia settings, and selected the program, v-sync was overwritten by it, after I turned it on, game is working properly again
