If they are just regular blocks, I guess you could start by having Steam verify the game files. Maybe some of the game files are corrupted. No harm in checking.
This is kind of a shot in the dark, but if Vertical Sync is not enabled in the game options, you could try turning that on. Some people have had problems with how some objects in the game interact when V-Sync was turned off. The most common problem seems to be when trying to drive the remote-controlled car, but I've seen some other things mentioned. I don't recall anything about unbreakable blocks, but you could give it a try.
Other than that, I'm not sure what to suggest.
