platforms are bugged (SOLVED)

someone mind helping me with a way to fix the hitbox or some ♥♥♥♥♥ with platforms in the game (you can jump on the platforms but it starts to get buggy to the point where you do little hops until you are able to do an actual jump; thing is; it's hard to tell when the next jump will happen considering that the platform is bugged/glitched).

I know the game is old but please man; i don't want to die over a platform I have to jump in order to progress

I don't remember having any problems with platforms or jumping, so I don't think they're just plain broken.

This is just a guess, but try turning V-sync on in the video options in the game. Others have had problems with how some items interact in this game (as I recall, controlling the remote control car was the most common one) and turning V-sync on fixed it (I don't really understand why/how). If V-sync is already on, I guess you could try turning it off.

Other than that, you could try having Steam verify the game cache, just in case you have some corrupted game files.

i'll try the v-sync and yeah the remote controlled car was pretty buggy. I just kept pausing and unpausing and randomly checking out the other options on the pause menu

I've been only using keyboard. Don't know why and I don't have a controller around me; might look in my room for one. i'll check out the disscussion you linked
