I don't think it needs controller support. Usually I prefer games that do, but this one works just fine. It's a lot like how the tough controls added to the challenge and intensity of the original Silent Hills.

If it's only 2 buttons + arrow keys, then it should be pretty easy to add controller support. But it looks like I am in the minority in this one. Oh well.

Use joy2key to map your controller to those keys.

Every game that doesn't use the mouse has third party controller support

but yeah, an options menu would be nice

Came here to say that. Joy2key or any similar programs like Xpadder will work to let you play games with a controller when previously you cannot. I've done this for many games I felt like playing with a controller, including first person games and MMO's (though I just did it to see if I could, I don't play FPS or MMO's with a controller).

The only games I can think of that need controller support would be diablo-like games: Path of Exile, Torchlight, etc. I would much prefer to play those with a controller but cannot emulate them with a controller due to the fact you have to move with mouse clicking.

Oh man, I'm glad somebody asked this question. Was about to grab it but thought I'd check. However, will definitely check out the Joy 2 Key.

This game hardly needs a controller over the keyboard. The controls are far to simple to really NEED it.

I think a controller would be awesome for this game, but mapping it out with something like xpadder is really easy too.

Director's Cut will likely add controller support.

controller support

Controller support is only for the PSVita and PS3 versions.
Luchador138 Oct 21, 2013 @ 1:34pm
just use controller mate or something like tha works fine on mac
Lynchden Oct 21, 2013 @ 4:21pm
My point is: I shouldn't have to. Especially if they already have it for PS3. There are plenty of other games out there to spend my money on. I just won't buy this game.

Okay, miss out on a great game because you can't readjust to a control method for a couple of hours.
Sounds like a good plan.
