Input Lag
Ok, Ive tried all the fixes suggested, Admin mode, Window mode, the controller fixed it until I had to unplug the controller, now it doesn't fix it regardless of rebooting.

obviously this is a problem that hasn't been fixed. It seriously looks like something to do with the a hardware cursor... maybe?
Either way im looking at asking for a refund as this is unplayable and sofar doesn't look like anyone is fixed it.

any help appreciated

I played this game for the first time on yesterday. I played almost 3 hours and I got no problem at all. Now I started it again and the lag is killing me. WTH is happening here?
Subscribing to the discussion in case we find some real solution.

Plugging in my wired 360 controller and restarting fixed the problem for me...

This is very weird. I assume it's the restart (and not the plugging) to have done the trick... but restarting/rebooting did nothing for me.

I'd like to believe that but I just tested playing with and without the 360 controller plugged in. Every time the lag is back without the controller... Its the controller.

EDIT: It seems that I am not the only one with this akward fix.

Admit it, you work for Microsoft and want me to buy a wired controller! :D

Damn. me too. Really sucks because I actually intended to get FR 2 but forgot when I saw it on the sale and just picked it up without noticing with a few other games. Apparenttly this is only an issue in the first one. :-/

From the linked forum posting, I got the idea to completely disable controller support in the library we use on Fieldrunners, seeing as we don't use controllers anyway, but disable the controller initialization did nothing, according to a Steam user that I personally sent a test executable to. We've unfortunately not been able to reproduce this odd error on our own machines in order to try to more deeply diagnose the bug.

Man, my fieldrunners 1&2 when i buy it... first 4-5 days was working with lag, half screen and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ like that... After 5-6 days, i start the game(i dunno why...) i have not had any problems since(again, i dunno why)...

Am I the only one surprised and a little flabbergasted by the "We don't know" post by the devs?
I mean, with all respect, I am a web developer and I well know things can be really a mess sometimes. Debugging is not the easiest work and yes, sometimes you initially can't really understand why things don't work. But you'll eventually have to because there are users that have to access your site, and use it... if it's broken, bye bye users.

Again, with all respect, we're now talking about a game problem that MANY people are experiencing and said problem prevent the game to be played. I really don't think that "We don't know" can be an acceptable answer. "We don't know but we're working on it day and night to solve the problem" would have been a better answer in my opinion.
