2-Right click somewhere else
3-Read 2. Also, change the AI mode if you wish by right clicking and selecting some AI mode
4-Use jetpack more often.
5-Not sure.
6-No response.
7-Defense?
8-No response
9-Digging takes time, and I'm pretty sure that unless you have a certain digger that is REALLY slow the base walls are invencible.
1. you can choose a landing party! just select a few soldiers with weapons (make sure the desired weapon is under the body)
2. just right click with your cursor out of the buy menu... you need common sense, boy
3. again, use your common sense to right click out of the buy menu. also, you can hold right click while controlling a unit to open up a pie menu, which has their behavior modes.
4. the digging behavior tends to be a little dumb sometimes, but you can fix that by setting their waypoints on the pie menu.
5. put it right under their feet. most times, they pick it up, but they might not if you do it sloppily.
6. i suggest you use drop crates instead of dropships for assaulting a base. not only are they cheap, but the enemy's AA can't possible blow those out of the sky!
7. switch your control to a unit and hold RMB to open the pie menu and set their waypoint. do this for all units you are planning to assault the base with.
8. when your brain deploys, use the digger to get underground immediately. this is imperative for your protection. the trashcan bot is actually an anti-air bot which has automatic missiles to shoot enemy craft down.
9. not everything tunnels through all obstacles. what, did you download a mod that rapes the terrain?
in conclusion, this game has a pretty steep learning curve, and the tutorial mission can help when you read the screens that say information. i suggest you have patients for this game.
This is what I'm getting at! I'm really trying to like this game and it has a lot going for it - but damn I'm having to hit the forums to learn such basic stuff!
Use the buy menu by right-clicking and selecting "buy menu". Look for craft in the buy menu. Whatever craft you select will be the craft that delivers the stuff that you select.
You can choose the actors and how they're equipped by selecting the actors in the buy menu, and selecting their equipment immediately afterwards.
Format is layed out like this example:
This would make Actor 1 equipped with Weapons 1 and 2 and a digger. Actor 2 would be equipped with Weapons 3 and 4. Actor 3 would be equipped with Weapons 5, 6, and 7.
Yes, the interface is very amateurish and inconvenient. Just mess with it for a while.
