Gamepad Issues
Yesterday I bought the F310 Gamepad by Logitech to play games such as Cortext Command on my Mac with friends of mine. However, there are some issues that are happening to me when I try to use the gamepad. First of all, when I attempt to use the gamepad to controll the actors in CC, they completely spaz out and their jet packs are totally uncontrollable making them fly around all over the map, preventing me from being able to turn off the jetpacks. It seems to me that the cursor when being controlled by the gamepad in CC has a mind of its own and will always move to the top of the screen (which I think is why the actors jetpacks are malfunctioning), preventing me from using the in-game store to purchase actors and weapons and be able to control the actors at all. I'm pretty confused as to what the problem is. The controller is currently set under the 360 Preset (even though it isn't a 360 controller), because the other options were not working. As I mentioned in a previous discussion, I'm kind of a noob when it comes to technological errors or issues so I wasn't really sure if this was actually a very simple mistake that I had missed or something else. I am wondering if the controller I got isn't compatable with Mac (I'm playing on a MacBook Pro version 10.11.4 OS X El Capitan), and if I wasted $20. The gamepad has been working for other games that I own but just seems to be acting faulty when I use it for CC. I've only been playing CC on keyboard and mouse and mainly got the controller to play with friends so we could have epic battles.

I'd love some feedback as to what I should do to fix this problem.

Thank you very much.

I don't know why you have this problem with the jet pack, i have not encountered that kind of problem when i played with my ps3 controller...

Maybe try to recalibrate your controller with the 3rd party program you using, maybe the joystick is not perfectly calibrated to stay in the dead zone.

Also i noted that i had issue when i load the game then turn on my controller when the game is already loaded, so maybe that could cause your issues if it's not about calibration. Try to load your controller first then open the game when your controller is on.

Hope it helped you, if not well i don't know what could cause this...

I tried what you said about plugging in the controller first before starting the game which appeared to work because I was able to move the cursor in the main screen but when I attempted to play a map the jetpacks where still going haywire. I have a feeling your comment about the controllers calibration is correct but because of my non-technical prowress I've been unable to figure out how to recalibrate the controller or how to access my 3rd party program.

If you or anyone else would be willing to explain how I can get to this I'd be very appreciative.

Sorry for my rambling.

hum it's been a while since i used my ps3 controller, now i have a xbox controller, but i used 2 3rd party program to play with my ps3, the first was motion joy, you have the option to calibrate your controller in the first page if i remember correctly and the other was better ds3 and it was in the option, not so sure how i did it, but it was kind of easy as i remember...

Not sure wich program you use to emulate the xbox controller, but maybe you could check you tube for some tutorials about this specific program.

Edit: also make sure to dl xbox controller driver if you don't have those, because i think you need those to be up to date to use the xbox controller pre setting on any game.
