Game doesn't start (Crysis 3 Remastered)
I've just downloaded Crysis 3, and when I press play, it doesn't do anything. The buttom goes from blue to green again and the game doesn't launch at all. I'm looking for a solution, anyone please?

Verify game files, install/repair Redist, and try compatibility modes.

This happens to me too, normally it takes a bit or I have to stop it and start again, then after like 10 seconds it loads. Might want to check your firewall/antivirus settings and add it as an exception, if not try starting it without intro movies

I finally got it running. The file "msvcp140.dll" was missing. I started the game from the file Steam has saved it in. It claimed that it was not present and couldn't launch. Of course I found that out from there and not from Steam directly. I downloaded both the 64bit and the 32bit and installed them correctly. After that; smooth sail.

Thank you for the replies and taking the time to assist.

I am glad you got it running. This .dll file is part of the Redist I mentioned and missing or corrupt Redist files are one of the most common reasons games don't start.

Thanks for letting us know how you got it running. I haven't played the remastered part three yet, but I am looking forward to it.

Game On!

1. Find a local file folder
for example C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Crysis3Remastered\Bin64

2. Right-click on the "Crysis3Remastered.exe" file and go to the "compatibility" tab

3. Be sure the "Run this program in compatibility mode for" checkbox is ticked and select "Windows 8" from the drop-down menu

4. Be sure the "Run this program as an administrator" checkbox is ticked

5. Be sure your graphic drivers are updated.

Go into bios and make sure AVX is on or on Auto. I had it disabled as I just use my pc as a gaming pc. No streaming etc. My pc is a 13600k, 64gigs ram and a 4080.
Do not know what or if there is a comparable setting for AMD!
Good luck!

I don't have an AVX setup in the bios

I have a 13600k. My game started working after I enable the AVX instruction in the motherboard. This also worked for people playing Starfield.
