As for conjecture, I don't think Crytek has inked a new deal with EA -- we would have already seen mention of it by now, as they would have promoted Crysis 4, so Origin would be out.
Probably likely to be an Epic exclusive though, as they would likely be a funding source for the game; plus we saw it with the three remasters.
I don't really mind if it's Epic exclusive for a year like with the Crysis Remastered trilogy as long as it eventually releases on Steam with no other launcher requirement (as the Crysis Remastered trilogy did).
I get it... Crytek needs funding for the game's development either from EA (making it require Origin) or from Epic (timed 1 year Epic Games Store exclusive to promote that platform).
The people who boycotted it even after it released on Steam seem maybe shortsighted... without Epic Games funding it, we might not have had the Crysis Remastered trilogy at all.
There's been rumours of acquisitions by both Microsoft and Embracer, but those ended up being bullsh!t; but if something like that eventuates, then there's your funding source.
Most likely, it's a combination of private investment and Epic money.
It was never sold, but the old CEO kept insisting that every new crysis game was the last in the series. For whatever reason, he's been convinced that there should be a crysis 4.
The Steam store page tells you the developer and publisher. If EA was involved, wouldn't it say "Electronic Arts" as the publisher?
EA is definitely not involved otherwise we would have seen C2R and C3R on Origin and it's not there, only C1R is there.
The closest, I think, we can see to Crytek owning the IP is in the EULA:

Epic Game is really a trash, they wants to be better than Steam but isn't being by doing this bad policy, also Steam/Valve have negative points than positive but Steam is still best for gaming, just the moderation inside of steam that is being bad at moment.
Also where is Ryse 2 ??? It's been almost 10 years
Hope its development gets resumed at some point. If they launch on Steam with no 3rd party stuff like Epic Online Services, account sign-ins, etc. and no Denuvo I will buy it on launch day at full price.
