Altough it lacks mp i doubt that people would just skip this one.
Sure you can run the original and play with some friends but unless you have friends that happen to have the original installed and are mp fans there is no point in recommending the original over the remaster.
Close this dumb topic.
There is no GoG version of Crysis 3. There is no GoG version of Crysis 3 Remastered.
The only way to play the Crysis 3 campaign without installing and running Origin in the background is to play Crysis 3 Remastered.
100% agree with the two quotes above. The only reason I bought Crysis 3 Remastered was to get the single player story campaign with improved graphics and without the requirement to use EA's Origin spyware.
The originals also don't have DLSS, and the Crysis Remastered series does.
The remasters are considerably better than the originals.
Owning Crysis, Crysis Remastered, and Crysis 2 max Edition on Steam. the cost was about £19 for the two remasters. Sill kind of expensive, even though worth it I guess.
The change to C2R was significant, although it still looks a little old now. The main take from it for me, was that it's more playable. I had finished with Crysis 2 Max Edition, but will play C2R at least twice more. Had way much more fun with it.
I agree that ray-tracing brings a lot to the games. However C2R has much more than just ray-tracing. The change to software based SVOGI improves C2R a lot. Ray-tracing spices up visuals with reflections, as well as improved surfaces.
C3R looks more 3D with better lighting, compared to the original. Vegetation is improved because of this too. That over-shiny look to Crysis 3, is gone in the remaster.
However would not be surprised if they tried to squeeze more money out of us with fully ray-traced C3 sometime.
