Film Grain

I actually cannot believe the completely egregious use of Film Grain in this game, its to the point of distraction and I cant find anywhere to switch off.

If anyone knows how, would be much appreciated.

Yeah the film grain is pretty excessive. If you open the console (using ~ on most keyboards, but the key above tab whatever the layout) and type con_restricted 0 to allow access to more commands, you can then type r_HDRGrainAmount 0 to remove the film grain.

Alternatively you can create a text file in the top level of the game install location (quick way to reach it is to right click on the game in the Steam library, go to manage then browse local files) and type in r_HDRGrainAmount=0. Then save and rename the text file to autoexec.cfg and it should auto load this command on game start-up (you can check by viewing the console after you load into the menu the first time, it should list any commands from the auto exec).
