I'm not getting very much lag. It's some random occasional small lag I've noticed that happens when the fps counter is on.
FPS overlay displaying is a different type of thing than is file downloading.
before turning off fps counter i had little lag also on greenband when I was in middle and making double jump ( drop to 70 ). Now i see less fps drop.
The big question is, though, I ran the counter fine pre-patch, but since the patch, I, too, get major FPS drops with a i7 + GTX 770 4GB. Hmm...
I know, it's weird. Just turning off the fps counter was noticeably better, so now I've turned off the whole overlay too.
In the Steam beta client, the fps counter is in Settings/In-game tab.
But definitely on the regular Steam client, turning off the fps counter helps.
What is your experience with that? Better? Worse?
I'm going to retest using the Steam beta client and it's fps counter first, to see if it gives same problem as the regular Steam client does.
