360 Controller not working?
Hey, i was able to play the game fine for a few weeks with my xbox 360 controller but for some reason it stopped working a while back. The controller still works on Origin, other steam games, and in Big Picture mode just no longer in AW. Ive tried reinstalling steam, opt in and out of the Beta, reinstalled the xbox controller software but to no avail. Sometimes when i load it the controller works for around 1 minute (allowing me to join a lobby) but stops randomly after and doesnt work again. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix it?
(Yes i know im terrible for using a controller instead of keyword, im lazy and used to playing xbox)

As suggested by sk1ku, i turned GeForce ShadowPlay off and the controller works again. Only negative now is i can't save any gameplay anymore, but at least CAN play again. Thanks for all the help guys

Whoa. We got an keyboard warrior, here. A real internet bada$$... In their own mind.

-----------------------

1) Try a different USB port. They wear out, unfortunately.

2) Go to Device Manager and make sure HID Compliant devices and drivers are installed. This is what allows the controller to be recognized by your system and if this is corrupt, or missing then this may be why it loads up, but then quits, unexpectedly.

As I have the same issue, I'll make some points.

The controller works on EVERY other game. It's just AW. And it's not like AW doesn't recognize the controller (Oh, nice, now puu.sh is evil? imgur then: http://i.imgur.com/uihdrn1.jpg, as you can see the UI changes as if I have a controller connected), it just simply doesn't accept any input from the controller, nor on the menu, or in-game.

2) Tried reinstalling almost everything USB-related. I don't know, but if it's just AW, why shoult it be a driver issue?

Regards.

Delete your config_mp.cfg from the player2 subfolder.

Start the game and see if anything changes?

Sometimes the config file gets corrupted and needs to be rebuilt which is what the game will do if you delete your current one.

Did that, still no luck. The funny thing is that, AW doesn't ask me to switch to the Controller mode (you know, that dialog that appears the first time you plug a Controller on AW. If I've deleted the config, shouldn't it appear again?). Tried uninstalling, too, btw. Won't download 55GB again, so that's not an option xD

K, k, solved. After digging into my computer's config, It turned out that I had a controller named, well, "Controller", on the "Input" tag of dxdiag. It seems it's actually a GeForce Experience issue! I'll try reinstalling GeForce Experience, but without it, it works flawlessly. I'd want to use Shadowplay, tho, so, again, I'll try reinstalling. I'll keep you updated!

Okay. Reinstalled, rebooted, everything's fine... 'till I install GeForce Experience 2.4.0.9 Beta. It works just great with 2.2.2.0, so, just avoid betas for now. Hope it helped!

I uninstalled that crap as it killed my frame rates in this game .
