CutScene Lag
I have seen previous discussions on this all around the games release and all they have said is a patch will be released and here I am playing the campaign around Christmas and I am still getting lag in the cutscenes. Was a patch ever released or is there something I have to do?

I just re-installed it today to check if the problem still exists on my new GTX 970 (I've finished the game on GTX 660 previously) and unfortunately it still does exist :x.

Not only loading screens are taking AGES but getting through them is a total pain in the a$$!
I thought that a new high-end GPU will remedy that but I was utterly wrong.

I can understand that game's can be laggy due to bad optimization or a not good enough hardware. I can understand that the cutscenes in a game can be laggy when using actual game engine and a not good enough hardware (as mentioned above by me already), but how the HELL can a PRE-RENDERED cutscene stutter at all?!
It's just a simple video file! Acti isn't even bothered to address this issue...

I dont know if you guys can see this or not but my is some what fixed now and all I did was deleted the local content of the game and reinstalled it. I guess its just some installation error that we are suffering from and you dont have to delete the 40 gb multiplayer. And for a heads up when i moved my graphics back to high i got a bit of lag so i just moved it down and the game still has good graphics.

Here's what I've noticed:

Shader Preload ON, Render During Cutscene OFF: Cutscenes take forever, no lag.

Shader Preload ON, Render During Cutscene ON: Cutscene take forever, yes lag.

Shader Preload OFF: Cutscenes can be skipped but lag induced.

Things I found that helped:

Making sure that the system pagefile is set to System Manged. Running game in Borderless Windowed Mode.

Tested on:

i5 4690K + 280X, 8GB DDR3, Samsung Evo 840 256 GB SSD (Rapid mode off) and Windows 8.1

I done everything you've posted above before as I've found it on the internet to no avail. Cutscenes are still stuttering as hell and the game itself plays at max 20fps even on low with my GTX 970 :/.

I just upgraded from GTX 660 to GTX 970 a few days back, I've played way better looking and far more demanding games on ultra in 1080p with this new card, such as: Metro 2033 & Last Light, Crysis 2 with MaldoHD maxed out or Crysis 3 and all of them are keeping constant 60fps on my 60hz TV.

I'm sorry to hear that bro. The 970 should be able to max this game out just fine. Maybe new drivers are needed? You can always just contact Activision support and see what they have to say about it.

I just gave up this untested piece of crap. You know when it came out and saw this problem I thought that maybe they're going to fix it. The only patch for PC version was released on 18th of December and it haven't addressed neither the cutscenes stutter or in-game lag.
All my drivers are up to date.

I still can't understand how can a pre-rendered cutscene lag at all.

2500K, GTX970, thankfully no ingame lag but baaaad cutscene stuttering including sound on/off every few seconds when all the preload stuff is off. If on not stutter but load times beyond a minute with an SSD.

This was my 1st and last CoD I've bought and played since Modern Warfare 2.
Activision won't see my money ever again.
