Certain maps won't load.

The two maps Defender and Recovery will not load for me. Every time those maps get chosen in matchmaking they get stuck on the load screen for much longer than the other maps. Then they get to the "Synchronizing game settings" portion and the game freezes. After a moment it kicks me out of the lobby. It does not do this for any of the other maps in the game, though to my understanding these are the only two maps that get changed partway into the match with the tsunami and the volcano erupting.

As I do with any modern game that I purchase I did extensive testing as soon as I could to get the settings in top shape while still maintaining a solid 60fps. I've tested it during both single player and multiplayer and have run into no problems. But after I noticed those two maps would not load I even went and turned down certain settings to see if that would help. I changed the texture resolutions to "High" instead of "Extra," I turned off Anti-aliasing, and I even turned off shadows. It still has not helped, and those maps refuse to load for me.

The (To my knowledge) relevant specs:

GTX 660 with 2GB of vRam
AMD FX 6300 processor at 3.5 GHz
8GB of ram
Windows 7
Using a Harddrive, not an SSD
And last but not least, I play at 1360 x 768


So, any ideas?

There's like 3 maps that won't load for me. They did yesterday and now that everyone's on, I can't seem to load them. So I sit and read while I HOPE to fall on a map I CAN play.

Wohoo, I can beat you both. For me, 4 maps wont load: Defender, Recovery, Riot and Retreat.

Sledgehammer isnt even acknowledging the problem. This needs to be fixed ASAP, but they dont care because its only PC.

everything loads here but Defender starts up with very low fps then it improves a little bit, which causes stuttering and unstability.

Just a heads up, a few days ago Nvidia released new drivers for this game. Both of those maps I had problems with now work, though they tend to start at a low framerate. For anyone else using an Nvidia card I recommend double checking to make sure you're up to date.

14+ hours of play and can never get the jungle map to load.. If it comes up, the load bar fills up and then nothing.. Have to use task manager to close it out. wtf

disable the shader preload options guys, all of them.
it is a very bad optimized game but still superior to ghosts.

Same problem, and I already have shader preload disabled and my NAT Type is open. Yesterday's patch did not fix it. After waiting a long time at synchronizing game settings, I get kicked out of the loading screen and the follow message appears in the lobby screen: "Cannot connect to host connection". This happens for multiple maps, like defender, recovery, riot, instinct. This problem does not always occur, but it is annoying because it wastes a lot of time and when you play in party, you have to wait for your friends to finish the match. I have already tried to reinstall the game, which did not fix the problem. I have installed the latest NVidia drivers.

Yurp, same ♥♥♥♥ happend here. ♥♥♥♥ those games nowadays. Release beta versions that are ♥♥♥♥ and dare to ask a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of money for it. Happened to BF4, BF3, CoD BO2, Ghosts, AW......
