same problem also with a laptop. It's running off the wrong vid adapter, no idea how to change it.
From what I understand, you can force your computer to use your graphics card by changing something in the Nvidia Control Panel. Not sure what, exactly, as my laptop doesn't have Optimus.

Try going to Device manager and disableing your onboard?
How are you certain it is not running? Do you have the Nvidia GPU Activity notification enabled so you can see if it is running?
Set the game to high performance in the Nvidia Control Panel?
Actually, it might be the Video Adapter setting in the Nvidia Control Panel.
I have set nvidia card with nvidia control panel. I used test programs to see if nvidia gpu runs or not. When i open game, test tool says nvidia gpu is on for sp1_sp.. exe (i cant remember name of exe now) but in game in advanced video settings, game only see intel hd graphics. And after 5-6 min loading i get low fps and cant play. Tried disable intel by using bios but couldnt because there is no setting for that. Tried disable it with device manager but game see windows basic driver, not nvidia again. Nvidia gpu is on when i open game but problem is game doesnt use it...
try lowering the resolution from native to High...idk why but it worked for me, must be something to do with my laptop but changing the resolution (Lowering in my case) worked for me. hope it helps someone else too.
What is your system
I have the same MSI Laptop fyi
Can i ask that, when you change resolution, does it still see intel? And can i ask your settings? Thank you
No when changed in advance video section it doesn't say intel-hd it switched to Nvidia running on manual high settings. The resolution was the high setting in the 1400 range (don't recall the exact ratio) but it works for me in my case
You can try disabling Intel HD graphics in your BIOS. (As long as you have a dedicated video card you don't need it)
When you're using a laptop with Optimus that's not a recommended option.
